General Return Guidelines

Eligible Returns

  • Books must be in sellable condition (no writing, highlighting, torn pages, or excessive wear)

  • Original packaging required for direct consumer returns

  • Returns accepted within specified timeframes (see below by customer type)

  • Proof of purchase required

Non-Returnable Items

  • Books damaged by customer use

  • Books with missing or damaged ISBN labels

  • Special orders or personalized books

  • Books purchased at clearance/final sale prices

Returns by Customer Type

Libraries & Schools

  • Return Window: 60 days from invoice date

  • Condition: Must be in original condition, unused

  • Process: Contact us for return authorization number

  • Refund: Full refund for approved returns

  • Damaged in Transit: Report within 5 business days for full replacement

Booksellers & Retailers

  • Return Window: 90 days from invoice date

  • Return Rate: Up to 20% of total order value

  • Condition: Books must be in pristine, sellable condition

  • Process: Return authorization required before shipping

  • Refund: Full refund minus return shipping costs

  • Seasonal Adjustment: Extended return window during back-to-school season (through October 31st)

Direct Consumers

  • Return Window: 30 days from delivery date

  • Condition: Books must be unread and in original condition

  • Process: Contact customer service for return instructions

  • Refund: Full refund minus original shipping costs

  • Exchanges: Free exchanges for damaged or defective books

Step 2: Receive Authorization

We'll provide a Return Authorization (RA) number and return instructions within 2 business days

Step 3: Ship Returns

  • Include RA number on package

  • Ship to:

  • Customer responsible for return shipping unless item was damaged/defective

Step 4: Processing

  • Returns processed within 5-7 business days of receipt

  • Refunds issued to original payment method

  • Email confirmation sent when complete

Special Circumstances

Damaged/Defective Books

  • Full refund or replacement at no cost to customer

  • We cover all shipping costs

  • Report within 10 days of receipt

Bulk Orders (25+ books)

  • Custom return terms may apply

  • Contact us before ordering for specific arrangements

Seasonal/Holiday Returns

  • Extended return window through January 31st for books purchased November 1st - December 31st
