Biography
Kristen is a Chinese American author who immigrated from Vietnam when she was 14 months old and grew up in San Leandro, California, a working-class Asian American and Latinx community. She is the author of GINGER AND CHRYSANTHEMUM (Levine Querido) and the debut picture book LAST FLIGHT (Levine Querido), which was named a Best Book of 2023 by Kirkus Reviews, NPR, and the New York Public Library.
